Before Your Service
Before Your Service
Congratulations! You've made an excellent choice to protect an expensive asset against corrosion and rust. Here's everything you need to know before your appointment.
What material am I getting?
You are getting the best, most washout-resistant Lanolin available - WoolWax! Lanolin is sheep's wool oil. It is non-toxic, non-flammable, and environmentally friendly. WoolWax does not drip and has minimal scent that goes away quickly. We exclusively spray amber color, which is semi-transparent when applied. For more info about why Lanolin is your best choice please visit our article: The Science of Rust
Do I need to be home?
Nope. We just need your keys to maneuver/ramp the vehicle. We can send some pictures as we wrap up, and we will text or email your invoice for you to pay before we depart. We accept credit and debit cards only.
Should I do any prep?
We recommend getting an undercarriage wash 1-3 days before your appointment. WoolWax is formulated to displace some dust and salt residue, but never hurts to start with a clean slate. For pickups and truck based SUVs, stick your finger inside a hole in the lower half of your frame. If you feel a lot of sand, hose out your frame 2-3 days ahead of time. We are not able to offer washing/hose services at our visit to your home due to the amount of waiting time to drip dry. Please note that if we need to scrape rust flakes, it can run an additional $29 to $59, and can range up to $99 for commercial vehicles.
Will it get on my driveway?
We lay down protective canvas/tarps. WoolWax does not drip after we leave.
What if it rains?
We will watch for excessive heat or rain that would prompt us to reschedule your appointment. We will confirm your appointment via text message as it approaches.
The day of your appointment
We will do our best to text you our ETA. We will move your vehicle as needed. It needs to be at least 15 feet from other vehicles, not on a steep hill, and not on badly damaged pavement. We need space to open ALL doors and maneuver - the vehicle cannot be right up against a house or fence. Being in the shade helps us!
